In bending and folding processes as part of forming technology, we at WSM work with state-of-the-art machines from Trumpf. This enables us to realize even complex requirements and to form materials with lengths of up to 4,250 mm precisely and reliably. In addition to general bending, we offer the more precise folding process, for example for mechanical and plant engineering. Both processes are available as CNC-controlled operations (CNC bending and CNC folding) for larger quantities of identical workpieces. A particular focus within our forming technology lies in producing complex sheet metal bending parts in small and medium series. Thanks to our Trumpf bending cell, we can also economically bend larger quantities and process components weighing up to 40 kilograms automatically.

Our production facilities are ideally located to efficiently handle forming technology inquiries throughout Baden-Württemberg and southern Germany. WSM offers the following forming technologies:
Folding and Bending
We operate Trumpf TruBend and Safan machines for folding and bending, allowing automated processing from prototypes through to large-scale production. Materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and non-ferrous metals are processed fully automatically with a press force of up to 230 tons and bending lengths of up to 4,250 mm.
Deep Drawing
Deep drawing requires absolute precision and a fine understanding of the respective material. Using our machines, we can process various materials and manufacture even demanding shapes with dimensional accuracy.
The Focus of Our Forming Services
Bending or folding of laser blanks: from simple angles to complex sheet metal bending parts using various tools or custom special tools per component.
Large and heavy bending parts: For high quantities or complex, large and heavy components, we use a Trumpf bending cell. This enables both one-off parts and automated bending of larger components or higher volume runs.

CNC Bending Technology for Metal Components
Unlike conventional mechanical manufacturing, CNC bending uses computer-controlled machines to bend and fold sheet metal. In CNC bending and CNC folding, we work with Trumpf TruBend and Safan E-Brake machines. Additionally, we can produce larger quantities using our TruBend Cell 5000, forming components made of steel, stainless steel, aluminum or non-ferrous metal with thicknesses from 0.3 to 8 mm permanently into the desired shape.
