Note: Discretion in sensitive customer relationships
In highly regulated industries, trust is a fundamental prerequisite. At our customer’s request, we refrain from naming them and deliberately use general wording. At WSM, handling sensitive information in a professional and responsible manner is an integral part of our quality mindset.
Requirements and criteria in the automotive process audit
In the automotive industry, it’s not what you promise that counts – it’s what stands up to an audit.
A key customer from the automotive sector conducted a comprehensive VDA 6.3 process audit at WSM. The focus was on a holistic evaluation of our entire process landscape – from defined structures and clear responsibilities to implementation in production and the reliability of processes in day-to-day operations.
The audit took place at our Reutlingen site and was methodologically demanding, in-depth in content, and characterized by a constructive professional exchange.
Result: 96/100 points – a strong signal
With a score of 96 out of 100 points, the audit result clearly confirms the performance of our quality management system. This outcome is far more than just a number – it reflects stable processes, clearly defined workflows, and consistent execution in daily operations.
Especially in the automotive environment, documenting processes alone is not sufficient. What matters is that processes are stable, interfaces are clearly defined, and procedures are applied reliably and repeatedly. The result demonstrates that WSM meets these requirements at a very high level.
MAQMSR as the foundation for operational excellence
The MAQMSR assessment forms the basis of our quality standards in the automotive sector and defines binding requirements for process stability, reliability, and continuity across the supply chain.
A VDA 6.3 audit reveals how consistently these standards are implemented in practice. Among other aspects, the audit evaluates whether:
- responsibilities are clearly defined and effectively applied
- deviations are systematically identified, assessed, and resolved
- process KPIs are collected and used in a targeted manner
- improvement measures are consistently implemented
The excellent audit result confirms that our quality standards are not only defined, but firmly embedded in our day-to-day operations.
Audit passed – trust confirmed, collaboration strengthened
The VDA 6.3 audit was a demanding and intensive process for the entire organization. The result confirms WSM’s high level of process reliability and further strengthens the foundation for long-term, dependable partnerships within the automotive industry.
We view quality as an ongoing system that is continuously developed. Audits serve as an objective evaluation of the effectiveness and stability of our structures – and as a basis for further improvement.
